INFANT KILLED IN AUTO CRASH

PRESCOTT, Arizona, June 28, Frank Rangel, 10 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Amador Rangel of Date Creek, near Congress Junction, was injured fatally early Sunday night in an automobile accident 18 miles south of Prescott on U. S. 89.

In Mercy hospital is the father, who has a broken left arm and fractured left hand. Mrs. Rangel was admitted also to the hospital but refused to stay. She is in the home of friends here. A fourth passenger in the car was a daughter, 8 years of age, escaped with scratches and bruises only.

The body is at the Lester Ruffner Funeral Home, where arrangements for burial are pending.

Undersheriff Robert V. Born said officers have been given two accounts of the accident. One was that Rangel was sideswiped, which caused his machine to turn over. The other was that a passing motorist crowded him over so far on his side of the road his car could not be kept out of a wash paralleling the highway.

The Rangel auto was off the pavement for 93 feet before it took to the wash, then proceeded 120 feet before it started to turn over at least twice.
