Lillian Jew Wong of Scottsdale Arizona passed away peacefully on March 5, 2005, surrounded by her family. "Lili" was born May 16, 1914 in Palo Alto, California and lived a very long, eventful and engaged life surrounded by cherished family and friends.

Lili was flamboyant with style and grace not only in appearance but in personality. She was interested in everything and everyone; no grass grew under her little feet.

Lili was an artist, muralist, interior designer and color consultant.

She attended the University of California at Berkeley and Arizona State University. She also studied Chinese calligraphy and brush painting.

Lili was a participant; she had been actively affiliated with many organizations; National Society of Literature and Arts, International Society of Artists, Arizona Watercolor Association, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. For 20 years she was the Make-up director for Scottsdale Community Players (Stagebrush Theatre) and was decoration chairman for many fundraisers including the Phoenix Symphony, Phoenix Art Museum and Planned Parenthood. Lili was the founding President of Scottsdale Branch National League of American Penwomen, State President and served on several NLAPW national boards.

Lili leaves behind amultitude of loving, devoted and caring people. Her loving husband of 63 years, Joe; her daughter Judy; her son Jeffrey (who preceded her in death); three grandsons Jeffrey (Carla), Kelly and David Horen; sisters Doris YEP, Mary Jane TOY, Barbara LEE and innumerable other family members, friends and acquaintances all of whom were touched in some large or small way by this lovely woman.

Lili's passing does not diminish the glow she left all along her path through life. We will miss her sorely, but we bask in the stardust she leaves behind. "Look both Ways"
