A11 Wylie Todd died on Wed., July 30, 2003, at the age of 99 years; beloved husband for 64 years of Ruth Davis Todd; dear son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Todd; brother of the late Marjorie Todd Wright. Since college Mr. Todd was supportive of many charities, traded in the stock market, was active in creating furniture, guitars, jewelry and military knives. He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America, Gun Collectors Clubs and other organizations. Mr. Todd was a descendant of Mary Todd Lincoln, the wife of Abraham Lincoln and of 18th century settlers of Nantucket Island. Friends called at the LUPTON Chapel, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City, on Mon., Aug. 4, from 4 until 6 p.m. Committal was private. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Salvation Army, 1130 Hampton Ave., St. Louis, 63139; Alzheimer's Assn., 9374 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, 63132 or to the charity of one's choice. Mr. Todd, a long-time winter resident of Wickenburg, was a charter member of the Los Caballeros Golf Club. He served as a director on the board of the Wickenburg Library Society for more than 35 years. He was also a strong supporter of the Desert Caballeros Western Museum. |
