Alvy Eleanor Kirby passed away on Aug. 23, 2003 at her home in Wickenburg. Alvy was born on Sept. 6, 1914 to Alva and Annie Davis at the Vulture Mine, located 12 miles south of Wickenburg. She moved to Wickenburg in 1915 after her brother Jimmy was killed in a mine accident. Alvy grew up in Wickenburg with her six brothers and six sisters.

Alvy married Delbert Kirby June 6, 1937. They spent their entire married life in Wickenburg.

She was preceded in death by Delbert. She is survived by daughters Arlene Lizarraga and Pauline Stokes; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Donald Davis of Tucson, Ariz. and Chester Davis of Wickenburg; and one sister, Mary Ellen Basham of Wickenburg.

She will be missed greatly by her family and many friends.

Viewing will be on Aug. 28 at 9:30 a.m. with services to follow at 10:30 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, 360 W. Yavapai. Concluding services at Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
