The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg Sun September 17, 2003, p. B10 Helen (Meranda) Scamporrino Helen Scamporrino was born Nov. 28, 1907 in Santa Anna, Calif. She lived in Cottage Grove, Ore., Bremerton, Wash., and Wickenburg, Ariz., before moving to Vancouver 20 years ago. She passed away peacefully at Rose Ranch Retirement Inn on Sept. 6, 2003 at the age of 95. Her husband Joe died in 1983. Her daughter is Beverly Francis of Vancouver, Wash. Helen was a member of the Friendship Rebakah Lodge in Wickenburg, Ariz., and an active member of the Summit Presbyterian Church in Bremerton, Wash. She enjoyed traveling, camping and was skilled in many arts and crafts. After her stroke in 1984, she became a master shopper, enjoyed her friends at Rose Ranch along with very special canine companions. A memorial tea will be held Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. at Rose Ranch Retirement Inn, 8613 N. E. St. Johns, Vancouver, Wash. All friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southwest Humane Society, 2121 St. Francis Lane, Vancouver, Wash. 98660-1060 |
