John Sim Eaton, 62, of Circle City, Ariz., as the result of a car accident. Mr. Eaton was born Oct. 13, 1942 in Detroit, Mich.

“John didn’t just touch some people. He touched everyone,” said Korey Drescher at John’s memorial service, which was held Saturday, Nov. 22 at Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg, with Pastor Fred Engel officiating. It is this statement that sums up best the way John spent his dash.

John was a man who spent his dash accumulating a broad range of life experiences. He possessed the wisdom which enabled him to pass the lessons he learned in life. The foundation of his wisdom was his understanding of human nature in relation to perfection through the often times unpleasant act of self-analysis.

“A machinist by trade, a teacher by profession,” John never ceased attempting to improve himself and everything he did. Everything he learned he passed on to everyone he met. In doing so he taught us a lesson through leading by example. “Learn from the past to modify the present, to enable a better future.”

Survivors include his fiancée Billy Jean Esses of Circle City, her daughter and husband Debra and Korey Drescher of Circle City; sons Brent Eaton of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Brad Eaton of San Jose, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Glenda Eaton of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters and brother-in-law Carolyn and Gen Lacy of Eastland, Texas and Jeanne and Conrad Hoffman of Canandaigua, N.Y.; Teresa and Barbara Lacy, Laurie, Leigh, Ann and Lynda Fuller and Kessler Laharca.

He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Williams Easton and brother James Eaton.

Arrangements by Wickenburg Funeral Home.
