David Eugene Sullivan

David Eugene Sullivan passed away Dec. 10 at his home in Wittmann, Ariz. He was born in California in 1947.

He was a registered nurse who had a passion for working with troubled teens. He worked at Child Help U.S.A. and also delivered papers for The Wickenburg Sun. Over his career he worked the Cardiac Care Unit at Boswell Hospital, Charter Hospital, Rosewood, Meadows, and the Perryville State Prison.

David also was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran and worked with other veterans to help with the traumatic stress endured by those who served this country so bravely in Vietnam.

He received the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He served with the U.S. Army's "A" Company 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry, 1st Infantry Division from 1967-71

David is survived by his sister Beverly of Phoenix; hundreds of friends and co-workers who loved him, as well as his proud stepson Edward B. Bevill.
