Gail Willard Dingman

Gail Willard Dingman passed away Feb. 3, 2008, in Prescott Valley, Ariz. He was born on the family homestead April 5, 1934, to Lloyd and Evelyn Dingman in Canon, present-day Black Canyon City, Ariz.

Gail was preceded in death by his parents and son, James Roy Dingman.

Gail is survived by sons Joseph Dingman (Emma) and Robert Dingman (Danielle); and daughters Diana Lame and Deborah Lewis (Steve). He is also survived by six grandchildren, Vanessa Slater, Joseph Breckenridge (Abra), Josh Dingman (Amelia), Brandy Harger (James), Bobby Dingman and Amanda Short (Levi); and by five great-grandchildren, Tyler Slater, Alexis Harger, Amber Harger, Rhiannon Short and Layla Short.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The world will be missing out on his amazing stories of the simple life he led in his native Arizona.

Commemoration services in honor of Gail will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley, Ariz., with burial to follow the services at Dugas Ranch, Dugas, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in memory of Gail be sent to the Arizona Pioneers’ Home, 300 S. McCormick St., Prescott AZ 86303.
