| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, January 9, 2003 Fred P. (El Surdo) Granillo, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 - in Mesa, Arizona at age 87. Born in Tempe to the late James & Adela Granillo, he retired from Maricopa County Juvenile Department with 18 years of service. He is survived by his daughters, Ortencia G. Zabaleta, Jenny G. Sublasky, Gloria G. Taylor; son, Arthur Granillo; sisters, Oralia Rios, Susanna Carranza, Carmen Ceballos, Tillie Ceballos, Betty G. Ortiz, 21 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter, Olivia G. Gonzalez and sons, Ruben and James Granillo. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003 at Bueler Mortuary Chapel, 14 W. Hulet Drive in Chandler with the Rosary Service at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 230 W. Galveston Street in Chandler. Courtesy of Pat Wilson. |
