Roslyn Hoffman, born February 8, 1919 and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, died January 7, 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona.

As a five-year-old she was known as the Dancing Doll, and at Collinwood High School was a featured dancer in school shows and pIays. She also played cello in the school orchestra. Later, her enthusiasm turned to writing and Roslyn became a published author while working at the shortived Journal in Phoenix. Having attained her Master's Degree in Education at Arizona State University, she taught at Richard E. Miller School in the Washington District.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marguerite and Saul Hoffman and is survived by her sister, Barbara Hoffman Ross; niece, Cydney Ross; nephews Robin Ross, and Tracy Ross, his wife Susan and children Justin and Alyssa.

Services will be private.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a no-kill animal shelter.
