The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, January 9, 2003 Robert Joseph Louis Maloney, 82, of Phoenix, Arizona, died January 6, 2003. He was born February 3, 1920 in Waterloo, N.Y. Robert was a member of the BPOE Lodge #335 in Phoenix. He also served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a survivor at Pearl Harbor while serving on the U.S.S. West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Loyola. He is survived by his daughters, Mary K. Scipione and Margaret Mattison; sons, Robert L. Maloney, II, Michael Maloney, John Maloney and Daniel Maloney; brother, Richard Maloney and 13 grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2003, Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St. Mass will be held at 11 a.m., January 10, 2003, Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8620 N. 7th St. Donations may be made to St. Mary's Food Bank, 2831 N. 31st Ave., Phoenix, Az., 85009.
