Muriel Emma Schwab, age 83, passed into the Kingdom of Heaven on December 29, 2006, back into the arms of her beloved husband "Scotty", where they will be forever united. Muriel was born to parents Ralph and Alma COOLEY on April 6, 1923, in Brooklyn, New York.

A member of "The Greatest Generation", her values and strength of character were greatly shaped by the challenges of WWII and the great depression. It was shortly after WWII, at a USO dance, where she met her husband to be. Dancing was one of mom and dad's greatest passions, often clearing the floor as everyone watched in awe from the sidelines.

Muriel is survived by her 3 sons, John (and Gala) SCHWAB of Tucson, AZ, Ralph (and Deedee) SCHWAB of Bullhead City, AZ, Wayne (and Bonnie Evans) SCHWAB of Phoenix, AZ, her 3 grandsons, Jason (and Janna Christian) Schwab of Phoenix, AZ, Andrew SCHWAB of Bullhead City, AZ, Kyle SCHWAB of Tucson, AZ, and granddaughter, Sayaka SAITO of Bullhead City, AZ.

Muriel was a dedicated wife and the best mother a son could ever hope for. Mom loved everyone unconditionally. Besides dedicating herself to the raising of her children, she was also a friend to all types of animals us kids would drag home. After we grew up and dad passed away, she dedicated her time to volunteering, working with severely handicapped children in the Mesa Unified School District. After moving to Tucson later in life, she continued to help others by volunteering at Tucson's Northwest Medical Center.

Services were held at Phoenix Memorial Park at 200 W. Beardsley Road. In lieu of flowers, Mom would have preferred a donation to The Arizona Humane Society (www.azhumane.org) or to The Arizona's Children Association (www.arizonaschildren.org).
