The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 6, 2003 Leonard Williams, 89, of Tucson, Arizona passed away surrounded by family Sunday, February 2, 2003 in Tucson. Born in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, he moved to Arizona from New Mexico in 1940. He was a diesel mechanic for 42 years for ETMF and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Mae; a daughter, Geneva Bergevin; and a son, Billy Jean Williams. He is survived by his beloved family; daughters, Bettie Dean Shipman and Janice O'Banion; sons, Alvin and Cecil Williams; sisters, Virgie, Johnnie and Delight; brothers, Aaron, Sam and Billy Bob; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, with a visitation one hour prior on Friday, February 7th at Resthaven Park Mortuary, 4310 E. Southern Ave., Phoenix.
