E. Alfred Haralson

E. Alfred Haralson passed away December 9, 2009. He was born January 12, 1931 to A.H. and Mary Dunn Haralson in Safford. Alfred worked in the family business and married Nell in 1951 and raised three children, Quenell, Trace and Kelly.

Alfred's career took them to Alaska. Upon retirement from Alaska his diverse interests in life brought Alfred and Nell back to Arizona: llama ranching in Klondike, building a beach front home in San Carlos, Mexico; living briefly in Lakeside Pinetop area before moving to Tucson, finally settling near Benson. Alfred was a pilot since 1965 and his love of flying led him to build several airplanes.

He served on the Cochise County Planning and Zoning Commission. Alfred was a multifaceted person, good decision-maker, inventor and always willing to lend a hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Al, Vernon, Jack and daughter Quenell. Alfred is survived by his wife Nell, sons Trace and Kelly, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be conducted Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Graham Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10 – 10:45 a.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
