Larry Dale Stearns, Today 2/5/03 is a new beginning for Larry. He lost his courageous battle to cancer.

Larry was a self employed floor covering installer. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a Paratrooper assigned to the 82nd Airbourne and was awarded a Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife Barbara. His parents Lloyd and Margaret Stearns. His sons Michael (Melanie), Timothy (Karri) and Kory (Brianne) Stearns. His brother Dan (Ann) Stearns and sister Judith Dewar. His grandchildren Preston, Austin, Tyler, Tanner, Madisyn and Jordan. His mother-in-law Carolyn Harris who was his care giver for the last 5 months of his battle.

Larry was born on 3/4/47 in Elkhorn, WI. Larry was a very caring person who always put others before himself. He will be greatly missed and will forever remain in our hearts.

Visitation will be 8-10 AM with funeral service 10:00 AM, Monday, February 10, 2003 at Menke Funeral Home Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ.

Interment at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
