The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, December 04, 2009 James 'JJ' Johnson, born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, May 11, 1940, passed away Nov. 25, 2009 at Spring Valley, Ariz. Jim is survived by two sisters, Kay Johnson and Sally Best, both of Iowa. Jim was an accomplished bass player/singer, and worked with many well-known entertainers such as Lynn Anderson, Johnny Western, Roy Clark and many others from the TV show "Hee Haw." Jim was a former member of the Prairie Rain Band here in Northern Arizona. No services are planned. Arrangements were entrusted to Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home.
