The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, November 30, 2009 April 1, 1927 - Nov. 27, 2009 Ron moved to Prescott from Glendale in 1997. He is originally from Indiana. Ron was an insurance agent for most of his life. He enjoyed helping people and befriended many of his clients. Ron was a gentle man, and a true gentleman, usually smiling and always ready with a good story or two. Ron loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed good food, loved going to nice restaurants and was a creative cook. No matter what the menu, he almost always included corn bread and macaroni and cheese. Ron was a generous man who didn't want to see any being suffer. He was a Core Group Member of Animal Disaster Services and often brought doughnuts or pizza to the group's events. He was a member of the Board of Directors of United Animal Friends. Donations in Ron's memory may be made to United Animal Friends, P.O. Box 11133, Prescott, Az., 86304. Ron was predeceased by his wife Faye. He was survived by his brother Don Timmons; son Brad Timmons; daughter Lisa McVannel and husband Kelly; grandchildren, Chad Brabander and wife Brianna, Danielle Prassas and husband Ryan, and Jenna McVannel; 5-1/2 great-grandchildren; and his cat, Oreo.
