Willard Hoffman

Willard Hoffman entered into the heavenly graces of his Lord's arms Nov. 28, 2009, at his residence in Whiteriver. He will be missed dearly by his family, relatives and friends. He was born Aug. 28, 1931 in San Carlos.

Willard is cherished and loved by his wife of 54 years, Cornelia Kessay Hoffman; son Emery Hoffman; daughters Adelena Gooday, Eva Thomas, Lydia Perez, Felisa Scott, Sunshine Hoffman, Maebelle Walker; sons-in-law, Juan Perez, Paul Walker; sister Freda Hawthorn of San Carlos; 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Willard was preceded in death by his son, Eugene "Bodo" Hoffman; brothers Howard Hoffman, George Hoffman, Herman Hoffman; sisters Hattie Thorn, Loretta Benally; parents John and Marion Hoffman; father and mother-in-law Dora and Clinton Kessay Sr.

Willard will be brought back to the Assembly of God Church in Whiteriver for a one night wake at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4.

A celebration of his homecoming will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at at the Assembly of God Church in Whiteriver with Pastor Robert Jiminez officiating. His body will be escorted back to San Carlos at 11 a.m. for burial.

Interment will be at the San Carlos Veterans Cemetery.

Silver Creek Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
