Gayle Powell, loving mother and grandmother died on Saturday in the home of her caregiver and niece, Tiffany Liebich.

Gayle Irene Powell, born: Belvidere, South Dakota, August 5, 1922, died: Phoenix, Arizona, January 4, 2003 of Alzheimer's disease.

She attended Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. She and her husband of 59 years were affiliated with Wigwam/Totem/Webb's Department Stores from 1946-1985.

She attended the Nazarene Church.

Her husband, Homer Powell, her sister, Georgene Ortman, two daughters Joni Kinnerup and Sandra Lane, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive her.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 1:00 p.m. Biltmore Church of the Nazarene: 5604 North 24th Street.

In lieu of flowers: Hospice of the Valley will be accepting donations in Gayle's name.
