Gordon Hubbell, 70, of Phoenix Arizona, passed away December 12, 2000. Gordon was born on February 15, 1930 in Glens Fall, NY, where he grew up on the family farm. He moved to Arizona in 1950, when he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Luke AFB. Gordon was on the aircraft maintenance crew that supported the original USAF Thunderbird squadron. In 1954, he married Gilda Linden, who passed away in 1985. He worked at Allied Signal for over 40 years as a Manufacturing Engineer. Survivors include daughter Geri Lynn Rodie; sons Greg, Geoff, and George; daughter-in-law, Sue; sister and brother-in-law, Dottie and Chuck Brower of NY; Brother Ray Wood of NY; seven grandchildren and the many friends he made throughout his life. Memorial services were held at A.L. Moore Grimshaw, Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd., Phoenix on Thursday, December 21, 2000. The family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 2929 E. Thomas, Phoenix, 85016 in lieu of flowers. The Arizona Republic December 18, 2000. |
