Joseph J. Littlefield, age 70, of Sun Lakes AZ, died Saturday, December 16, 2000. A Memorial service will be held at Sun Lakes Community Church on Thursday, January 18, 2001. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association. Joe was born Sept. 15, 1930 in Byron, Wyoming. He served 4 years in the Navy as an Aviation Electrician and then worked 34 years as a Customer Engineer and Field Manager for IBM. He managed offices in Salem OR, Honolulu HI, and Guam before retiring to Sun Lakes AZ in 1987. While in Sun Lakes, he was an avid golfer and enthusiastic bowler. He served the community with several building projects and chaired the Architecture Committee and held a seat with the Board of Directors. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce; daughters, Carma Kenyon of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Claudia Perkins of Beaverton OR; sons, Joseph R. Littlefield of Honolulu HI and Brian Littlefield of Houston TX. He is also survived by brothers: Robert Littlefield of San Luis Obispo CA and Jerry Littlefield of Marietta OH; and sister, Betty Long of Laramie WY; as well as seven grandchildren.
