The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 9, 2003 Harvey Burks passed away February 6, 2003 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born in Moulton, Alabama, January 26, 1918. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Novella Burks, three daughers, Helen (Wayne Harmon) of Lacon, Illinois; Peggy (Jack Galuba) of Palm Bay, Florida; Racine (Don Stuckers) of Delmont, South Dakota. Three sons, Marlton Burks, of Sanger, California; Wymon of Mesa, Arizona; Gene of Toluca, Illinois. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents and one daughter, Marjorie L.; 2 sons, Waymon and Dean Burks; and granddaughter, Erica Burks. He moved to Illinois from Alabama in 1941 and worked at the Caterpillar Tractor Company. He was transferred to the Denver, Colorado plant where he retired, and moved to Arizona in 1998.
