Julia Frances Henderson, 79, a long time resident of Phoenix died peacefully at her son's home on January 27, 2003 in Redmond, Washington after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born January 22, 1924 in Elyria, Ohio and was preceeded in death by her husband John and son Mike.

She is survived by her son Pete of Phoenix, Patti and Danny Dickson of La Habra, California, Mark and Miriam Henderson of Redmond, Washington and four beautiful granddaughters. She also is survived by her sister Mary Jane Kaylor and several nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Elyria High School, she received her R.N. from St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland in 1945. She then became an Officer in the Army Nurse Corps.

She married in 1956, and she and her husband moved to Phoenix, where they joined The Church of the Beatitudes. She was proud of her lifelong membership in the church as well as her active membership in its Choir for 37 years.

Memorial services will be held at The Church of Beatitudes, 555 W. Glendale Avenue in Phoenix on February 15 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Choir Fund at the Church of the Beatitudes.
