Harold A. Sheckler, 80, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away February 7, 2003.

Born in Slatington, PA, he came to Arizona 15 years ago from Colorado. Mr. Sheckler was a shipbuilder at Philadelphia Navy Yard and a civilian design engineer for the Navy Department. He also was an Army Air Corps and Navy CB veteran serving during WWII and Korean wars.

Survivors include his wife Ethel Sheckler, 6 children, Linda Mencarini, Gary Sheckler, Susan Driesens, Ronald Sheckler, Wendy Kurtz & Barbara Harmon, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Phyllis Betzler.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, Feb. 9 at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ.
