| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, January 11, 2003 Virginia M. Calmes, 76, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away on January 5, 2003 in Peoria. Born in Detroit, Michigan, to Edward & Annastasia Stout, she moved to Arizona in 1978 from Ohio. She was retired from Digital. She was preceded in death by husband, Richard and a son, Richard Jr. Survivors include daughters, Carol (James) Specht, Debbie (James) Jagodzinski, Claudette (Fred) Ries and Beth (Gino) Norvak and daughter-in-law, Diana Calmes; son, Chuck (Joyce) Calmes; twenty-three grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. A memorial mass was held Thursday, January 9, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 West Palmeras Lane. Memorials to Sun Health Hospice, 12740 Plaza del Rio Blvd., Peoria, Az., 85381.
