The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, January 11, 2003 Erlinda (Lena) Trujillo, age 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at Lifecare Center at South Mountain, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph Q. Trujillo. Erlinda and Joseph were one of the original parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena Church in South Phoenix. Lena was also one of the originial members of the Guadalupanas of St. Catherine's. She loved playing Bingo and visiting with her friends. She is deeply loved and will be missed by all of her family and friends and will always be remembered for her caring smile and the love she had for her family. Survivors include her two sons, Joe (Mary) and Eddie (Lupe); three daughters, Ramona Pope (Jim), Clara Alday (Al), and Lena Bullock (George Quezada); sister Clara Ortega; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. Viewing and rosary will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6401 S. Central Ave., Phoenix, on Sunday, January 12th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, January 13th at St. Catherine's at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix.
