The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, January 12, 2003 Daniel P. Gable, 61, of Phoenix, Arizona, died Jan. 8, 2003. He was born Aug. 25, 1941 in Oak Park, Ill. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judith; daughter Joan; son Joseph; son-in-law, Dennis; son's fiancee Lindee; and four grandchildren, his Pile of Babies, Nicette, Cassandre, Dennele, and Jessica; brothers, Thomas and James; sister, Marie; and three brothers-in-law, James, Jeffery, and Jonathan and several nieces and nephews. He served in the Army from 1959 to 1962. He worked for the City of Phoenix for 22 1/2 years first for the Police Department and then for the Fire Department as Fire Investi-gator helping to set up their Arson Task Force. He retired in 1990. He was a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators serving as President 1988-1989 and continued to be active on the board and committees. His other memberships included The American Legion Post One and The Fraternal Order of Police Phoenix Lodge #2. He will be greatly missed. A viewing will be held on Monday, Jan. 13, 2003 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Mass Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Helen's Catholic Church, 5510 W. Cholla St. Graveside service to follow at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N.
