The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, January 12, 2003 Phyllis Ann Hocker, 64, of Payson, Arizona, passed away January 9, 2003. Born in Lexington, Ky. May 10, 1938, she moved to Arizona in 1968, moving to Payson in 1996. Phyllis spent most of her adult working life in the Electronics Industry at Motorola and Amdahl, much of that time in management. After retiring in the mid 1980's, she spent much of her time as a volunteer at Scottsdale North Hospital and in Payson at PRMC both as Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer in ER and most recently as an officer of the Mogollon Health Alliance. She was an officer in the Payson American Legion Auxiliary, assisting in many charitable activities. Phyllis was a loving, caring person who never met a stranger. She left this life far too soon and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Donald Hocker; her mother, Verla Woolery (Morgan) of Payson; son, Kevin Cunningham, daughter-in-law, Betty Cunningham, grandson, Liam Cunningham, all of Pacific Grove, Calif.; step-son Steven Hocker of Phoenix; sister, Carol Adamson of Sacramento, Calif.; granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson of Phoenix and several nieces and nephews. Her father Clarance Woolery preceded her in death. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2003 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Messinger Payson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero, Payson, Az. Donations to Mogollon Health Alliance, 308 E.
