Meredith Ann (Rognes) Lasley

Meredith Ann Rognes Lasley, daughter of Clifford and Esther (Ruthenbeck) Rognes was born April 20, 1924 in New Prague, Minnesota.

Meredith grew up in Lakefield, Minn. and graduated from Lakefield High School in 1942. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Home Economics.

Meredith married George Lasley on July 7, 1948 in Lakefield. She moved to Arizona in 1959. Meredith was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Phoenix for 43 years. She was active with the Phoenix Art Museum and a volunteer of the American Cancer Society as a Precinct Chairman for many years.

Meredith passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2003 in Scottsdale. She was 78 years old.

Thankful for having shared in her life are son Mark Rognes Lasley and wife Kelly of Scottsdale; daughter, Becky Ann Dunning and husband Al of Scottsdale; grandchildren, Jenell Lasley, Laine Lasley, Holly Lasley, Grant Lasley, McKenzie Dunning, Grady Dunning and one aunt, Mildred Miller and husband Had, of Sun City.

Meredith is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dr. Robert Rognes.

A Celebration of Meredith's life will be held Monday, January 13, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale, Az.
