The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, January 12, 2003 John T. Olney, 66, of Phoenix and Gustavus, Alaska, died January 9, 2003 after fulfilling his life long dream of designing, building and operating a premier lodge in Glacier Bay/Gustavus, Alaska. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from Marquette University School of Civil Engineering. John owned and operated his own horizontal boring business in Wisconsin. He resided in Phoenix since August 1972 where he owned an engineering consulting corporation. John is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jane; and was the beloved father of John Jr., Michael, Stephen, and David; grandfather of nine grandchildren; and brother of George. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 13th, 2003, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 East Thomas Rd. Courtesy of Pat Wilson. |
