| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, January 12, 2003 Karl Stehmer, age 84, passed away Dec. 21, 2002 in Peoria, Arizona. Born in Karlsruhe, Germany, Karl came to the U. S. A. after WWII, settling first in Ohio and the last 22 years in Peoria, Arizona. Master Printer by trade who retired from Transkrit, Inc. in 1981. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Paula Stehmer in 1996. Survived by his three sons, Horst (Christine), Karl H. (Pamela), & Michael (Marie) Stehmer; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and companion, Gretchen Makowiecki. Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, with Inurnment following at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Az. Courtesy of Pat Wilson. |
