Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 10, 1956, p. 1 Rites Saturday For Sgt. Hunter Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church here for Sgt. James R. Hunter, 22-yearold son of Mr. & Mrs. R. E. Billingsley of Wickenburg, who was killed in a one-car accident 1½ miles south of Bagdad shortly after midnight Wednesday. Sgt. Hunter was thrown from the car. The other occupants were not critically injured. A graduate of Bagdad High School in 1953, Sgt. Hunter was home on 30-day leave after completing a 3-year enlistment in the Army Chemical Corps. He had just re-enlisted and was stationed in Maryland. Other survivors, besides his parents, include three aunts, Mrs. H. E. Gaunt, Mrs. Hal Warner and Mrs. Henry Shelton, all of Wickenburg. |
