The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, January 12, 2003 Bonnie Marie Stubbs was born in Alma, Arkansas in December of 1921 to Bryan and Eva Lindsey. She was raised on a small farm and began her teaching career in Alma in the early 1940's. After her graduation from Central State College in Oklahoma in 1950, Bonnie moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where she taught elementary education until her retirement in 1983. After 36 years of teaching, Bonnie relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1990 where she spent the remainder of her retirement years. Bonnie was a member of the Scottsdale Wesleyan Church and is survived by her sister, Carmen Poe of Ft. Worth, Texas, two children Lindsey and Eva Stubbs and five grandchildren Alesia, Emily, Robbie, Kayla and Mikey all of Scottsdale, Arizona. Services will be held Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, 7:00 p.m. at Scottsdale Wesleyan Church, 4640 N. Granite Reef Road, Scottsdale, and graveside service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, 1:00 p.m., at Memorial Gardens, Cheyenne, Wyoming. Arrangements by Messinger Indian School Mortuary.
