Charles (Charlie) Arthur Bradburn

Charles Bradburn, 69, St. Johns, died Jan. 23, 2004 at his home in St. Johns.

"Charlie" was born Nov. 7, 1934 in Dove Creek, Colorado. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958. Charlie became a deputy while Sheriff Arthur C. Lee was in office. He served 24 years in Apache County. He was the Apache County Drug Enforcement Unit Commander. He enjoyed his family. He had a passion for roses and spent much of his time tending his rose bushes. He liked making things from wood and he was a great practical joker.

Charlie's survivors include: wife, LaRae Bradburn, St. Johns; sons Charles Kent, Show Low and Steven, Tempe; daughters Shawn Brown, St. Johns and Della Rae Pearce, Safford; brothers Bill Bradburn, Overgaard, and Donald Bradburn, St. Johns. He had 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Clara Bradburn.

Visitation will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Downtown Chapel in St. Johns from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30. Funeral Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, also at Downtown Chapel.
