| The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 12/24/2004 Darwin D. Grant died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004. Darwin was born Jan. 19, 1918. He was former bishop of St. Johns 2nd Ward, former mayor of St. Johns and he established the St. Johns Airport. He was a prominent business man in the area. Grant is survived by his wife, Erma Whiting Grant and five children, Mervin Grant, Howard Grant, Rita Lions, Ron Grant and Robert Grant. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and two brother Lyle Grant and Joey Grant and one sister June Sandburg. Services were held in Mesa Thursday, Dec. 23 with grave side services held at the St. Johns Cemetery Friday, Dec. 24 at 11 a.m. See Also: Find A Grave |
