The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 09/23/2005 Fredrick Thomas Postert, 63, died Sept. 16, 2005 at Navapache Regional Medical Center in Show Low. He was born Oct. 21, 1941 at Globe and spent his entire life in Arizona, except for a brief stint in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963. He made his home in St. Johns. He was employed as a plant mechanic at Salt River Project. He retired in 2003. Fred married the love of his life, Claudene Pearce on Oct. 30, 1964 and sealed their love for eternity Nov. 11, 1970 in the Mesa LDS Temple. He leaves a legacy of six children; Virgie Postert, John (Marsha) Postert,Tara (John) Kropp, David (April) Postert, Joshua Postert, and Jeanie Postert. He was Papa to eight grandchildren; Brady, Seth, Gage, Mason, Kristtna, Tobi, Sydney and Alexis. Preceding him in death were his father John Louis Postert and a brother Francis John Postert. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, downtown chapel, in St. Johns. Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
