The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 03/26/2004 Wesley Carl "Pinky" Shreeve, 78, of St. Johns died in Show Low March 21, 2004. Wes was born and raised in St. Johns. He entered the Navy in 1944 and served for two years. After returning home he married Lavaun Davis. Together they lived in several areas while attending schools. they settled in St. Johns where they raised their family. Wes had many hobbies he will be remembered by. He loved to learn correspondence courses with FAA. He gave flying lessons for many years having been flying since he was 16; he had a lot of experience to teach from. Wes was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Elder's Quorum President, and various positions as a clerk. He loved to serve in the church. Wes is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lavaun Shreeve of St. Johns; four daughters, Karen (John) Wilhelm of Springerville, Patricia (Sam) Tsugawa of Provo, Utah; Carleen of St. Johns, Sandy (Gary) Liston of St. Johns; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale Shreeve of Phoenix; two sisters, Irene Mills and Beryl Shreeve both of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Eliza Shreeve; one sister, Harriett; one brother William; and two children, Brenda and Dereck. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27 at the St. Johns Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A viewing will be held Friday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Owens Mortuary in Eagar and from 6-8 p.m. at the St. Johns Downtown Chapel. See Also: Find A Grave |
