The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 9, 2003 Raymond "Pappy" Yoakam, 85, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away February 7, 2003. Military Service-US Army 1944-1945 WWII. Mr. Yoakam was born August 9, 1917 in Akron, Ohio. He had a pilots license when he was 16 yrs old. Police officer in Cuyahoga Falls, OH after high school. He moved to to Glendale, CA & worked for Lockhead for 25 yrs & moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1964. He was preceded in death by son: Bill Yoakam. Survivors include wife: Jane; son: Jim Yoakam; 2 daughters: Laura Greenlun & Leigh Flanders & 3 grandsons; sister: Betty (Fred) Pascher. Services are 2pm, Tues., Feb. 11 @ Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ. In lieu of flowers-Hospice of Arizona, 2222 W. Northern Ave., Suite 100, Phoenix, AZ 85021.
