| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 10, 2003 Aletha Ferne Faris, 83, passed away on February 8, 2003. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, C. R. "Bud" Faris, she is survived by a daughter Gara Kelso of Scottsdale; a son Michael of Tucson and his wife Karan; two grandchildren Kara Dyson and Kori Faris, one great-grandchild Jakob Dyson; and two sisters Norma Peacock and Orene Hutton both of King City MO. Ferne was born and raised in Missouri, then moved to Phoenix with her husband and children in 1957 where she and her husband had successful careers in real estate. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a talented artist and a beautiful and elegant lady. A memorial service will be held at Green Acres Mortuary, 59th Avenue and Missouri, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday. Interment will be in King City, MO.
