Yvonne Pulsipher Morris, 71, returned to her Heavenly Father June 1, 2006 in Show Low. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend to all who knew her.

She was born April 25, 1935 in St. Johns, the oldest daughter of Daniel Walter and Lillian (Waite) Pulsipher. She lived in St. Johns her entire life.

Yvonne worked 20 years for Valley National Bank, and several years for the Apache County Elections Department until she retired at the age 62. She was a member of the Democrat Women's Club where she held several elected positions. Yvonne was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She loved her association with the ladies in the Relief Society, but her lifetime goal was fulfilled June 7, 1996 when she and her companion, Hubert, were sealed in the Mesa Temple for time and all eternity. She loved spending her summers camping in the mountains, dancing, painting ceramics with her mother and just visiting with the people she loved (her family and friends.) She never met a person she didn't like, and was always a true friend for life.

Yvonne is survived by her eternal companion of 53 years, Hubert D. Morris; her seven children, Debra Morris, Wade (Nita) Morris, Denise (Gene) Gipson, Kirk (Amber) Morris, Blaine (Cynthia) Morris, Keith (Leslie) Morris, and Kathy (Dale) Myers; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille (Alex) Madrid; and brother Shirley (Tawnya) Pulsipher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillian Pulsipher; sisters Evelyn King and Donna Jean Pulsipher; brother, Dennis Pulsipher; and grandson, Michael Edward Gipson.

Viewing will be held at Burnham Mortuary in St. Johns at 10 a.m. Friday morning at the Downtown LDS Chapel with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Internment will be at the St. Johns Cemetery.

Burnham Mortuary in St. Johns is in charge of arrangements.
