The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 10/31/2003 (12/25/1985 ~ 10/22/2003) Brandon Marlow Stratton, 17, died in Phoenix Oct. 22, 2003. Brandon was born in Show Low and lived in St. Johns and Snowflake for most of his life. He went through elementary school in St. Johns and his first three years of high school in Snowflake. Brandon was in his senior year at St. Johns High School when he died automobile accident. Brandon was an athlete and participated in soccer, wrestling, and track and he lettered in all three sports. He was also involved in weight lifting. He was talented in many areas; he play the piano, and drew landscapes by pencil. Brandon was also mechanically inclined and could work on automobile engines, he built a go-cart and a mini bike. He worked in construction with his brothers, his favorite pastimes were throwing rocks, target shooting, paint-ball shooting, and break dancing. Brandon enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was a member of the Salem Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was planning to serve a mission like his older brothers. Brandon is survived by his mother, Karen L. Day of St. Johns; father, Kent Stratton of Snowflake; two brothers, T.K. Stratton of Mesa and Damon Stratton of St. Johns; sister, Whitney Stratton of St. Johns; grandparents Marlow and Bertha Day of St. Johns and Glen and Velma Stratton of Snowflake. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the St. Johns Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment was in the St. Johns Cemetery.
