The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 11, 2003 Frank Milo Hatch, age 73, of Holbrook, Arizona, passed away February 6, 2003. Visitation was held on Monday, February 10, 2003 from 6-8 PM at Owens Mortuary in Holbrook, AZ. Services will be held Tuesday, February 11th , 2003 at the Holy Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Frank was born Nov. 14, 1929 in Mesa. He was raised in Woodruff where he attended elementary school. He then attended Holbrook High School where he graduated with the class of 1948. In 1949, he married Nella Allen, also of Woodruff. They moved to Holbrook where he went to work for Whiting Bros. Oil Co. for 41 years. He traveled Highway 66, now Interstate 40, from Barstow, California to Shamrock, Texas handling the maintenance of gas pumps at the service stations. Frank was a lifelong member of The Church of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in any capacity to which he was called. He also enjoyed helping others. He, with others, renovated and beautified the Woodruff Cemetery as a service project. He loved to work on machinery and to garden. He died suddenly Feb. 6 while driving the tractor preparing the garden for Spring planting. Frank is survived by his wife, Nella Hatch of Holbrook; five daughters, Lindella Frenzel of Lake Stevens, Washington, Susan Lovett of Kenai, Alaska, Connie Zanzuchi of Flagstaff, Frankie Karges of Middletown, Maryland, and Jenny Decker of Winslow; one son, Randy Hatch of Mesa; three brothers, Dell Hatch of Phoenix, Orland Hatch of Gilbert and Laurice Hatch of Woodruff; five sisters, Inez Gardner of Mesa, Grace Pulsipher of Springfield, Missouri, Aleen Scorse of Holbrook, Janell Ferguson of Phoenix, and Verla Cook of Gilbert; 30 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Holbrook Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial was in the Woodruff Cemetery. See Also: Find A Grave |
