Wickenburg Sun Wickenburg, AZ July 13, 1956, p. 1 Alfred Lewis, 74, Died Here Tuesday Alfred Lewis, 74-year-old retired Illinois miner who has lived in Wickenburg for the past two years, died in Community Hospital at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday. He had been a patient in the hospital since July 4. Prior to coming to Wickenburg, Mr. Lewis lived in Mesa for two years. He was a native of Springfield, Ill., where he was a coal miner and had belonged to the miner's union for over 50 years. He resided here in the Carroll Apartments next door to the hospital. Survivors include a sister in Denver, a sister in Indiana, and a brother in Springfield, Ill.
