Robert Jacobson, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2002. He was born in Chicago to Andrew Jacobson and Alma Larson. At an early age his parents died. His father was Fire Chief and was killed in a fire related accident. He grew up with his Aunt Emily in Rock Island, IL. His wife Mary, a registered nurse, died in 1990. Robert is survived by his sons, Dick and Don, his grandchildren, Natasha, Katia, Julie, and Jonna, and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Erik and Jazmyn. Robert had many friends, was in the CCCs (Civilian Conservation Corps), and started working at Motorola in 1941 in Chicago. He transferred to Phoenix in 1952 and retired as Chief Electrical Draftsman in 1974. Robert was a wonderful father, and loved by many. His hobbies were oil painting, creating leaded lamp shades, fishing and camping with his family. Funeral services Saturday, August 31, 2002 at Whitney & Murphy Arcaida Funeral Home, 4800 E.
