Donna (Wise) Brooks

Donna Brooks, age 70, passed away Feb. 18, 2008, in Chandler, Ariz. She was born in Carlinville, Ill., on Feb. 13, 1938 to Freab and Pearl Wise. She lived in Illinois until 1968 when she and her family moved to Mesa.

Donna was a graduate of the first Southwestern High School class. She was married to Ralph Brooks, her high school sweetheart. They had been married 51 years last Aug. 3.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother and brother Bob Wise of Wisconsin. Donna will be remembered as a very devoted family person and a hard-working baker. She worked beside her husband at church camps for 36 years until the day cancer changed her life. She loved her family and her church.

She is survived by her husband Ralph; daughters Robbin Clark of Payson, Leann Knox of Ahwautukee and Angela Fuller of Chandler; three great sons-in-law; seven grandchildren with one preceding her in death in 2000; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Bill Wise and Gary Wise of Litchfield, Ill., and two sisters, Helen Foster and Wanda Link of Carlinville, Ill.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Mesa First Church of the Nazarene, 955 East University Drive, Mesa, with interment at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale.
