Leonard N. Engnell, 95, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on Feb. 12, 2003. Born in Andover, IL on Oct. 19, 1907, he moved to Arizona 42 years ago from Illinois. He was a Retired Lt. Col. having served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He taught Mathematics at Central High School in Phoenix and also at Glendale Community College. He was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, the Masonic Lodge in Phoenix, Scottsdale Rite Bodies, Sojourners, the Eastern Star and the American Legion.

He is survived by his nephews, Kent Engnell of Lynn Center, IL; and Terry Engnell of Coal Valley, IL.

Services will be held on Tues., Feb. 18, 2003, at 11 AM with visitation one hour before the Service at Messinger Mortuary Chapel, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ.

Burial will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL with full Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Scottish Rite Dyslexia, 345 W. Monroe, Phoenix, AZ 85003.
