Charles H. Donahue died Feb. 2, 2008, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born June 30, 1916, in Manchester, Conn. He was 91 years old.

Charles was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Yale University in 1940 with a BA in Economics. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from February 1944 to May 1946, and was honorably discharged.

Charles was an advertising manager and national sales manager for Ampex Corp. (maker of magnetic tape and recording equipment) before his retirement in 1982. He moved from California to Prescott, Ariz., where he was active in civic affairs. He was a member of HOC, 20-20, Strategic Planning Committee, Leadership and the Yavapai College Bond Committee. He was a charter member of the Yavapai College Art Gallery and its third president.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife Alyce; sons and daughters-in-law Chip and Gay of Illinois, Christopher of Seattle and Wendy of California; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Private services are planned for a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Arizona VA Hospice, Highway 89, Prescott, Ariz. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
