| Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, February 12, 2008 Marie H. Beyea, 93, of Prescott, Ariz., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008. She was born in Portland, Maine. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Percy D. Beyea in 1995; sister Mig Fisk; brothers, Jack and Jid Osborn. She is survived by her four sons, Richard (Judy) Beyea of Perry-ton, Texas, Bob (Sue) Beyea, John (Carla) Beyea and George Beyea, all of Prescott; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and cousin Joyce Krieg and her large extended family. Marie moved to Prescott, Ariz., in 1960 and owned Marie’s Studio Shop on Grove Avenue where she worked for many years as an interior decorator making slipcovers and draperies. Marie learned to sew from her father and worked with him sewing neckties, knap sacks and pencil cases. She was a member of the Prescott Community Church, Mountain Artists Guild and was a WWII veteran who served in the Marine Corps. She enjoyed playing Bingo, painting and making crafts at the Center for Adult Services. Her gentle spirit and sense of humor will be missed by all that knew her. The family suggest in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Prescott Community Church, 3151 Willow Creek road, Prescott, AZ 86301 or Center for Adult Day Service, 826 Sunset Ave., Prescott, AZ 86305. Memorial Service for Marie will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at Prescott Community Church, 3151 Willow Creek Road, Prescott. Services were entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home.
