Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, March 1, 2008 James R. McNarie rode to the eternal round-up from his ranch headquarters in Bandera, Texas on Feb, 21, 2008, at the age of 71. He was born August 27, 1936, in Prescott, Ariz., to M.J. “Pop” and Eleanor J. McNarie. He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, which included over 100 tactical missions during a tour in Vietnam, and continued on to also retire from Northrop Corporation. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Barbara Stepanowski and Joan (James T) Kellis, and his infant son Timothy J. He is survived by his loving wife, Tamsen (Thomason); his children Dawn (Dallas) Wickstrom, Cheryl (Michael) Stackhouse, James R. (Jean) Jr., and David; his grandchildren Timothy, Tyree, Holly, Cody, Dallas, Heather, Shaun and Ryan; his brothers Robert, William, and Donald; the Bud Fitzpatrick family, and numerous other friends. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal services. The family suggests contributions made in memory of James Ray McNarie to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2990 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson, NV 89059. Every day is a gift, make it a great one!
