Wynona (Brown) Bearup

Wynona Brown Bearup, 75, of Dripping Springs, Arizona passed away on March 5, 2008.
Wynona was born in Toro, Louisiana and moved with her family to Arizona in 1942.

Wynona worked in the Gila County Superintendent of Schools Office for 30 years, retiring in 1993. Besides her unforgettable red hair and infectious laugh, Wynona will long be remembered for her brilliant intellect and unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

Wynona is survived by: her husband of 59 years Walter; her four sons Eugene, Jonathan, Larry, and Wylie; six daughters-in-law Linda, Carol, Debbie, Yulon, Corrina and Jeannie; ten grandchildren Donovan, Darshon, Cassey, Britani, Katie, Bevan, Jon Scott, TJ, Brianne and Justan; and three beautiful great-granddaughters Lilly, Laney and Kali.

She is also survived by her mother Ethyl Brown Banta; her siblings Howard, JoAnn, and Wylodene; and the rest of her adoring extended family including brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 7, 2008, at Lamont Mortuary of Globe, 328 S. Hill St., Globe, AZ 85501.
